Curiously , Barbosa and Levy  found elevated gatA and gatC transcription due to MarA expression , and Pomposiello and colleagues  found elevated gatA , gatB and gatD upon treating cells with paraquat , and elevated gatZ , gatA , gatB , gatC and gatD upon treating cells with salicylate .
